Youth Pottery: Hand Built Bowls

In this fun and creative pottery class, young artists will explore the art of handbuilding using coils to create their own unique bowls. Students will learn the techniques of rolling, stacking, and shaping clay coils to form functional pieces. Pieces will be dip glazed by instructors following the class.

Piggy Banks: Youth Pottery

Play with clay to make and glaze your own pottery "piggy" bank. It doesn't have to be a piggy--use your imagination to come up with any animal, object, or form you want your bank to take!

Go with the Flow: Big Blooms Watercolour

Ready for the next step in your watercolour journey? Join us for a full day’s exploration of flowers—on a big scale. Big, as in quarter sheet (11” x 15”) or even, daringly, a half sheet (15” x 22”). Daunting as this may sound, you are not venturing alone. I will guide you at each step as you meet the challenge to expand basic skills and study the magic of water in the medium. Wonder and delight await you as you learn to “go with the flow” through both wet on wet and wet on dry techniques. (Previous experience with watercolour is recommended.)
Colour reference pictures will be available for ideas as well as some enlarged flowers for tracing.
