Class Description
This 6-week course will introduce you to many aspects of quilting and give you a great foundation to build your skills as you embark on your quilting journey. No previous quilting experience is required. Basic knowledge of your sewing machine would be an asset. The first week will be an introductory session where we will talk about the terminology you will need to understand as we navigate this adventure and things to accumulate for your project: - fabric (solids, prints, scraps, pre-cuts etc.) - fabric preparation (to wash or not to wash) - cutting tools, rulers; how to use them - basic sewing supplies In the remaining 5 weeks, we will cover: - various techniques in quilting while you create modern blocks based on traditional piecing. - assembling the blocks in various ways - making the quilt “sandwich” - stitching the layers together - binding the edge Your project will be approximately 48 X 72 when finished. Please note, this class will run from March 5 - April 16, excluding the week of April 2. Members: $96 Non-members: $132

ICAC Class Cancellation Policy
At ICAC, we try to provide you with high-quality instructors, classes, workshops, and facilities. Our instructors must be booked well in advance and they begin planning and purchasing materials in preparation for the class. Because of this, the ICAC has a 2-week cancellation policy. All cancellation requests must be submitted to the ICAC a minimum of 2 weeks (10 business days) before the scheduled start date to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be issueds using the original method of payment whenever possible and are subject to a $10 administrative fee. If we do not have the minimum number of registrants, then the class will be cancelled. Often, we are required to make this decision early, so that our members have not invested money into materials. If a class is cancelled, a refund will be issued.
