Exhibitions

     In addition to our educational and instructional programs, our gallery encourages artistic growth by providing the opportunity for our members and local artists to exhibit their work. They expose the wider community to a variety of visual art forms.

     Twelve to fifteen exhibitions are presented yearly. Artists from the local community are encouraged to apply to the Centre for information on having an exhibit. Slots do book up quite far in advance (6 months - year). Gallery hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2-4 pm.

The Centre is located at 125 Centennial Lane, Victoria Park, Ingersoll.  Use the Wellington St. entrance into Victoria Park or Highway 19 & Cheese Museum entrance into the park.  Free admission.

ABOUT THE GALLERY / DO YOU WANT A SHOW?
The Centre's gallery presents a different exhibition approximately each month. The Annual Members Exhibition is an opportunity for artists working in any medium to show their work. The art rental program and the gift shop also provide ways for the public, other members, and the exhibitions committee to see your work.
The committee, Paulette Robertson and Pat Gibson, schedule the other solo (or small group) exhibitions with artists/craft artists who have proposed a show or have been invited by us to show their work. Exhibiting artists range from those with experience producing other solo shows in many galleries, to those emerging artists who have the courage to produce and show their work for the first time. Some artists begin by showing with one or two other artists. Non-member artists are welcome.
If you are thinking of having your first exhibition it is wise to gain some experience in our Members Shows and perhaps in jurried exhibitions in other galleries. You will need a body of related work already in progress to make a proposal, even though we book shows about a year in advance. If we are not familiar with your work, we will want to see samples or images. We very much enjoy introducing a new artist in our gallery. Please feel free to call and discuss your ideas and questions.
